David co-founded Robson Kay with his son Jonathan in March 1996 following an extensive corporate background that included being the sole founder and creator of a manufacturing company which grew to employ more than 200 people and being the main board director of a PLC employing more than 1,500 people.
Seeing a gap in the market in 1992, David became a valuer, auctioneer and agent specialising in corporate recovery. Some four years later he started Robson Kay together with his son Jonathan.
David is a Fellow of NAVA Propertymark (the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers) and a Member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
Particular areas of expertise are textile manufacturing, multiple retailing, direct mail, contracting and travel/haulage. He applies his commercial expertise to case handling with a very hands-on approach.
David is a keen bridge player, angler and skier. He loves all things animals, especially dogs. An avid traveller, David has a particular love for the Far East, where he particularly enjoys practising his limited Mandarin at any opportunity. David was invited to join MENSA, having been tested by them as having an IQ of 156.
